19th Annual Kinzua Heritage Festival

August 23, 24 & 25, 2024

Venturing into the wooded glen at the Kinzua Heritage Festival is truly like taking a step back in time at a family oriented experience like no other! You'll see local and out of the area artisans demonstrating their crafts in period dress waiting to share their knowledge and skills with you. These include potters, leather workers, blacksmithing, flintknappers, weavers, bow makers and jewelers to name a few.

Music is a big part of the festivities all weekend. You'll enjoy a wide range of music from Country, Gospel, Bluegrass and classic covers to Native music and dancing. This takes place every hour on one of the two stages as well as storytelling. Food vendors are available to grab a bite to eat as you enjoy the music, join in with the dancing, explore the tranquil woods or watch an artisan demonstrate their craft.

An auction takes place on Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm at the back stage. Items up for bid are typically pieces that have been donated by the artisans. Proceeds from the auctions are donated to local service groups and community organizations so your dollars stay local! 100% of last year's auction proceeds went to DAV post 175 and Faith Keepers School.

The festival takes place at 4047 Fox Hill Rd, Russell, Pa 16345. Gates open at 11 am and close at 7 pm. Children 10 and under are free. Adult admission is $5. Visit the newly updated website at www.kinzuaheritage.org for more info, to access the vendor registration forms or for contact info if you would like to volunteer.

The festival is organized by a family oriented, PA registered non-profit organization whose mission "is to keep the past alive through the crafts, art and music of days gone by." Penn Soil RC&D Council is now acting as a fiscal agent for the organization, providing technical assistance and grant writing support for the activities of the group.
