2026 Nature Art Showcase and Sale Registration Now Open

Calling local artists! Mark your calendar now to attend the tenth Annual Nature Art Showcase & Sale at the Barrow-Civic Theatre, 1223 Liberty Street in Franklin, PA, during the Franklin on Ice festival featuring ice carving! Come out to see beautiful works of art inspired by the treasure of natural, scenic, and recreational resources of northwestern Pennsylvania. Free Admission; Friday Opening Reception, 5 pm – 7 pm; Saturday Open 10 am – 6 pm. Art pieces representing the natural and recreational assets of northwestern PA, through diverse media, will be displayed and available for sale.
Northwestern Pennsylvania is blessed with an abundance of natural and scenic resources which have contributed greatly to the regional growth and prosperity. In addition, a large portion of the area's land, water, forest, and wildlife resources has a primary or a secondary use for recreational activities and also serves as inspiration for a vibrant artist community. Let our natural and recreational assets inspire you as an artisan, then share your inspiration with the world!
Registrations are being received and processed by project partner Penn Soil Resource Conservation & Development Council. Please complete the Registration Form including Waiver of Liability, and provide a good digital photo of each of your pieces of artwork directly to Penn Soil RC&D. The e-mail address is pennsoilrcd@wcconservation.net; telephone (814) 726-1441. Registration forms are available at www.nwpagreenways.org and the links below. Hard copies are available at Victorian City Art and Frame, 1273 Liberty Street, Franklin, PA; or contact Penn Soil to have them emailed directly to you. Art pieces registered by December 1, 2025 will be included in the printed program book. This year's categories that will be judged by the public include 2D, 3D, Youth (age 12-18 years) and this year's theme of "On the Wing"!
Sponsorships for 2026 are currently being accepted. Rates are $50 and $100; potential sponsors may contact Marilyn Black at marilynblack@windstream.net or the Penn Soil office for details. Sponsors are recognized in printed event program, on-site poster, and publicity. See the attached documents below for the general information to artists, the registration form to enter up to 2 pieces of your original artwork in the 2026 Nature Art Showcase and Sale and sponsorship forms!
Artist registration fees can be paid on our Shop page (notice the separate registration icons for Youth- $5.00 and adults- $10.00) or by mailing a check to our office: Penn Soil RC&D Council at 4000 Conewango Ave., Warren, PA 16365. If mailing registration forms and/or payment, be sure to mail early enough to ensure they reach our office BEFORE the December 1, 2025 deadline if you would like your information and entries included in the program booklet!
Our capacity for this year's show has increased at the Barrow-Civic Theatre so we are accepting 25 more artist registrations and artwork submissions for a total of 100! Don't delay though! Register early to guarantee your spot in the show!
